Joking aside I've never really rated Moyes, not as highly as some doanyway, and I just never saw why he seemed to be the natural successor to Sir Alex. Don't get me wrong I think he did a decent job with Everton but his record there against the big clubs would have set alarm bells off if I was part of the recruitment process but then what the f*** do I know. I just don't think he is good enough at the level he is at now and I think he will be found out.
Yeah they definitely needed someone with a bigger ego than the players, Moyes' interview after the West Brom game was one he's given hundreds of times as Everton manager where it wasn't really a massive shock if they lost at home to an unfancied team now and again.
Fergie got out at the right time. Knew glaziers were going to tighten the purse strings even more, knew the squad needed a major overhaul and wouldn't be the force they were for a year or two.
