Just saying the same. I'd rather have Ronaldo than Newcastle, though.

Yeah i'd rather own Newcastle United than buy Ronaldo. Anyway you must be pissed off that a player like that as become available for transfer and P Riddy hasn't shown any ambition at trying to bring him in :D :D :D

    Good business for Man Utd.
Even though I think he is an outstanding player, I believe that they will be better off without him.

Me too. Especially if they could get Ribery in as replacement for a fraction of the cost.

I'm more upset that Real didn't go for Stev McPhail tbh :D

He would have been the cheaper option ha ha. You better hope P Riddy pays his debts.

A few calculations shows the recession has not hit Madrid!!

    Kaka £68,000,000
    Ronaldo £80,000,000

    Total £148,000,000

Both transfers are full cash on delivery, no installments or add ons at a later date.

Reported £300,000 a week for both players as a BASIC wage.

This is £15,600,0000 a year and £78,000,000 for the reported five year deals.

Times 2 of cause is £156,000,000 in basic wages over five years + £148,000,000 transfer fees =

    £304,000,000 outlay for 2 players.

   (doh) (doh) (doh)

Yeah good point. But how resistant can German's be? I'm not sure of the financial state of the German game, but apart from Spain and England I don't think there's any countries that can turn down large fees. Milan have proved that over recent years.

Am sure that Ribery said just last week

that he would never play in England because of the weather.

    Everyone has his price though.......

Not a concern of ours in the slightest, personal liabilities.

He obviously set up that company as a tax efficient (or is that avoidance lol) way of being paid through CCFC during his first year in a consultancy role.

When he had his contract revised & extended, he became a paid employee & since WH Sports had no other source of income, he had no alternative other than to cease trading.

No implications for CCFC imo, just accountants manipulating figures as far as I'm concerned. HM Revenue & Customs will say he owes "X" amount. His accountants will say he owes "Y" - and they'll end up at a compromise "Z". Business as usual.

I don't think Man Utd will go for Ribery.
I think they will buy Valencia from Wigan for about £16million. Who else, I'm not sure!
