Some posters on here seem to enjoy them losing more than Barnsley winning. I love to see Liverpool, the blunts, washday and Leeds lose but I don't start posts celebrating it when they do. I just don't get it.

Re: no you would not ever get it I'm not a teenager and I'm not under 40 either so that puts a small hole in your theory. I grew up in the 70's / 80's and it was all Liverpool, Liverpool, effing Liverpool and that's why I have a burning dislike of them. I'd say that an irrational hatred is more common in the age groups you try to belittle when you get on your high horse.
I've often been accused of being a Man Utd fan because I don't take pleasure from them losing. It doesn't matter that I don't take pleasure from them winning either, apparently that's irrelevant.
Nor mine, but it was good for a laugh for a minute or two. I still had to clean the bathroom, I still had to cook dinner and I'm still skint, but I'll take summat that makes me smile where I can get it. Unfortunately, Man City and Chelsea played one another, so they couldn't both get hammered.
I was able to give the news to a Leicester supporter last night at a dinner party in an even deeper, darker part of Burgundy where they don't have TV, phone or internet. It made his night - every few minutes he'd just say "5-3" to himself under his breath. So it made a bit of a difference to my life in that I got to be the bearer of good news for once. Which was nice. I still got a few digs in about Leicester's dodgy financial dealings and shamelessly signing Drinkwater after we stuffed them, of course.

Re: no you would not ever get it This just in: Everyone under 40 is a Manchester United fan, some so clever that they read and post exclusively on Barnsley forums to throw people off the scent. Great detective work DT this is a bigger scandal than watergate. I am however intrigued at the root of this pointless fury about a team that Barnsley has minimal competitive contact with, might you yourself be a closet city or Liverpool fan?
