Can't get to Barnsley to get my ticket (I'm a season ticket holder) and have been informed by the box office that phone applications can't be made (I won't rant about what a completely backward system that is!!). They said they will only accept postal applications. Now, I have checked the website and can't find any details on how you have to go about booking by post. Can anyone tell me how you do it or point me to the place where it says how to do it?

We sometimes do it as we live in Hull. We just end a letter to BFC box office & enclose a letter in saying who we are and what we want etc. Enclose any stubs what are needed and ask for them to be returned. Then normally write a cheque for the amount made payable to Barnsley football club - or you could put card details in! Always been fine and get everything back the next day!

We have said we will collect at the next home game sometimes. As someone could this week, Bristol City!! We even drove to oakwell yesterday from Hull as it want to much out the way from Donny to order some tickets for friends, always ways around things! I agree though, not very good for us out of towners not being able to use a phone, it's 2009 for gods sake!

If only someone would invent the internet

Clubs could sell things like match day tickets online then.

It's an issue that needs addressing - it is a problem for us that live away! My parent's still love in smithies so I can get them to sort it!
Can't make this one family birthdays and a big I.t installation at work that I need to be there for. Will have to catch it on sky

Perhaps the ability to buy tickets online and pick up at the ticket office on the day of the game.

They do it for games in the States....some have a machine you just put credit card in used to book the tickets and it prints the tickets off, ok that would be more expensive to implement but no reason they can't have a window solely for pick up of that day's tickets
