Watching their game against Bodo Glimt. I can’t stand them, and haven’t watched many of their games this year, but all of a sudden you can see what their tactic is and see how it makes sense. If Amorim can fetch some decent players in I reckon he could have a chance of getting top 4 next season.
I think he's a superb manager. Think United did exactly the right thing snatching him up this quickly because I thought it was near guaranteed he'd be City manager if not next year before Pep signed extension
He’s clearly a decent tactical coach, despite the current score. It remains to be seen if he can manage those that need it out of the club, and motivate those that have gone backwards since joining.
Yes, I really rate him mate. Plays some wonderful stuff. Its going to take some doing to turn this side around but with the right resources he'll 100% do it imo. For their sake hopefully not another Ten Hag...
I’m watching it and thinking we could in theory play this formation. Killip MDG Roberts Earl Lofthouse Connell Russell Gent Phillips DkD Humphrys
No idea how good he is. I think the biggest factor in the Portuguese leagues is recruitment. Sporting Lisbon, Benfica & Porto seem to all be great at buying young talent, often from South America & flogging it for a fortune.
It’s going to take time to turn things around, which is something in short supply in this business. I’ve always had a soft spot for United from growing up in Ardsley and watching Best, Charlton, Law, etc. on the old B&W TV.
