    Think I'd go...

    Curbishley
    Coppell
    Boothroyd
    Poyet
    Jewell

Out of the ones on that list.

Think at least two of those are very unlikely though.

    RE: Think I'd go...

They are all out of work and maybe just want to get back in. Perhaps they can't be too choosy. 2 year contract, if they do a job then they might get a bigger club if that is what they are after. I think the club should be looking at the list of available managers and making a list of who to target, all are game. Why not just contact them and ask the question? If wages are too much then move on to next target. Maybe they are doing that, who knows? Needs to be done quickly though.

I have got a horrible feeling it is gonna be a payout at 10/1. The sighting of Adams at one of our games recently has got me all paranoid.

    16/1 looks a bit tidy

Gary Speed, it would piss off the Blunts as well. (Y)

Still hope for Jewell , I think he would be a good draw and play some decent football.

There's one stand out manager on that list for me:

Paul Jewell. Fits in many ways, would be the ideal choice IMHO.

If I had to nail my colours to the mast

Paul Jewell would be my number 1 choice, too.

He didn't fail at Coventry City

He resigned from the manager's job in order to care for his wife, who was suffering from breast cancer. She died in 2006, aged 38.
To claim that makes him a failure is, in my opinion, extremely harsh.

    Why??

Do people think Redfearn would make a good manager???

Did we not learn that lesson when Hendrie got the Job, Inherited a great team and took it nowhere!!!!!

And Danny Wilson was 1998, lightening isnt going to strike twice....

Its Jewell all the way, got promotions with Bradford and Wigan, (admittedly had money at Wigan but still had to get it done), but kept Bradford up against the odds. Derby was an impossible job at the time so cant hold that against him.

PAUL JEWELL, - you now it makes sense.....

    Of the realisic candidates

I probably have to agree - Still Dream of Curbishley but Jewell much more likely to come

But why is Tony Adams on that list - he is even less sucessful as a manager than Bryan Robson

    experience needed

I certainly think that we need someone who's been round the block a bit.
    Jewell, Curbishley, Coppell

Hope he doesn't do the young up and coming manager again, could spell the end I think.

I'm hoping for Coppell, but think the chances are slim, more likely Jewell.

You'd be wasting your cash if you backed any of that lot.

    John Hughes, Hibs boss?

Seems very highly rated north of the border.
