    Who would you choose?

An English manager, preferably one who shows passion and has charisma, in other words Stuart Pearce.

Suppose theirs Ranieri but the FA would go into debt paying for all his translaters.

    Didnt you miss Martin O'Neil

Oh and Macca is now availlable - experienced international manager English Passionate not good enough - perfect.

Personally I'd vote for Hiddink - proven track record in international management - None of our contenders have had international management success which I would have thought was somewhat important. Too soon for Pearce let him get a bit more experience first

why not give the job to a German

for the laugh. First one to kill the German when we lose. Out of interest, If their was a top quality German manager out their with his last name Hitler, do you think the FA would appoint him?

I think you'll find that there aren't any Germans called Hitler....or Adolf for that matter - banned names.

    Curbishley anyday

He's an excellent manager, worked miracles at Charlton.
Also appears to be a very intelligent man, he should be made manager

One reason we don't want an English manager.............cliques

Interview with Beckham before Arsenal match
"England teams in the past have formed cliques
    Manchester lads stayed together
    Liverpool lads stayed together
    Arsenal lads stayed together
    With Sven this didn't happen"

I think this is because Sven dosen't have a link to an English club.
You can see the effects of these so called cliques in past England performances. Some players didn't run for one another.
Probably Wenger would be the best choice - but there is a fear cliques would form with him ie. some players thinking he was favouring players with links to Arsenal

    Wenger would be perfect then

No chance of him favouring Arsenal players seeing as they didn't have any English players against Real!! :pff
