If there are any doubters still out there this manager want to be given a long contract now or we are sure to lose him
He's on a contract for life It's a rolling contract, it never runs out. Give him a 5 year contract and it will run out in 5 years, but the contract he's on now will never run out. We could go barmy again and give him his year notice like we did with Robins, but apart from us having another aneurysm like that it's a solid contract.
Re: but does that not give him an easy way out if he sees fit ? If someone wants to take him then it will be written into his contract how much compensation that club have to pay. But the same would be true of say a 5 year contract. If we want to sack him then again it will be written in to his contract how much we have to pay him, but again the same would be true of a 5 year contract. Obviously, we could offer him a contract on more money, which may persuade him to stay longer, but there's nothing wrong with the type of contract Keith Hill is on. Anyway, if Keith Hill wants to go, he'll go, if he wants to stay, he'll stay, no matter what contract he's on. And if he wants to stay but get more money I'm sure he'll be well capable of negotiating that too.
Re: but does that not give him an easy way out if he sees fit ? well lets hope he stays, but lets just enjoy it for as long as it goes on.
Re: but does that not give him an easy way out if he sees fit ? Perhaps it should be remembered that if we had lost our last two games, we would have been in the relegation zone. This is the kind of thread engendered by an away victory. btw Keith Hill is imo the best thing to happen to this club for errr............ yonks!!
