Much as I like watching them I cannot bear to see their antics tonight where the referee is concerned.
The poor chap has gone to VAR, got their decision and still the city players surround him and complain to his face as though it's his fault they have conceded two penalties.
If the ref had some guts then he ought to book those players who are in his face.
Two and a half minutes to make a decision is an appalling amount of time but it wasn't the ref's fault. Why is it that professional footballers think they have the right to overreact like that... it makes you long for the rugby union attitude where refs have the total respect of the players, or so it appears ! (you may know differently)

I haven't seen the incident yet but from what I've read it was ridiculous. What is the point in VAR if those viewing the incident can't get the basics right.

Var seems sensible until you realise it’s only used in certain scenarios. It needs to be used in the whole game.

Just watched it. I can't believe after using VAR they still got the decision wrong. Unbelievable Jeff.

Welcome to the wonderful world of VAR, this happens in every game in the Bundesliga and is apparently the way forward as far as FIFA are concerned
Referees are no longer in control of games it's now a faceless nobody sat in a room watching on a TV like it's a video game

He stopped a definate goal with his arm so a penalty was the correct decision.

No intent whatsoever. He tried to move out of the way so ball to arm. No penalty.

Yes, booting a shot-on-goal directly at defenders’ arms will be the exciting new tactic for endless guaranteed penalties. Judging by your username you have a side in the argument.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with VAR. All it does is show you what ACTUALLY happened.
A combination of woolly laws and poor referees can lead to daft decisions being made in spite of actual video evidence to the contrary.
