So he's gone back to Arsenal, I wondered why he wasn't on the bench at Sunderland. What a complete waste of money he was (I assume we paid his wages). Why didn't we just go with the lad Letheren?
So just 2 months on... Letheren IS ready for the step up then? (I have not seen any sign of Richie getting a replacement for Manone and Letheren was on the bench on saturday).
RE: aint mannone coming back then? well i hope so, but iwas under the impression he was coming back to us.</p>
If we need to have three keepers in the squad I would have used Letheren on the bench and just given a youth keeper a contract. We have no money and what little is available should be spent on a left back and a forward so any reserve keeper is never gonna be the next Buffon. Why not give one of our academy lads the spot instead of wasting money on Mannone?
You should ask AR why he brought an Arsenal Academy player into the club. He's the one who will not bring an experienced keeper in. Why blame a kid when the reponsibility lies with AR? Or is GS to be blamed for another Ritchie clangger?
RE: No He Went To Sunderland I Think He went to blades on trial but was released then signed for Sunderland without a trial and is now their first choice.
Please no! Would prefer him not to come back In the 2 games he's played he's cost us points. Let him practise elsewhere. We need all the points we can get. We can't afford to develop Aresenal's player. Let him go elsewhere and we'll have to take our chance on Letheren
RE: actually ward isn't first choice at Sunderland Ben Alnwick has been dropped and replaced by Ward that makes Ward first choice!
