You Don't Expect.......... your captain to do a diving header into his own net. Utter bad luck, but he tried his best to clear it and boro would have scored if he hadn't tried to get rid anyway. Biggest shame is they couldn't sell 6,000 tickets for a game against a premiership team.
Surely it is a "banana skin" rather than "potential banana skin" - as the presence of a banana skin gives the potential for slipping on it, it doesn't mean that you are bound to slip on it!
That's ok! I hadn't actually thought about it until about a year ago when I heard someone question the use of "potential banana skin" by Gary Lineker (I think)
