And I suppose Spurs are really lovely young men aren't they. Why do you hate them? Success? Fans? Ground? History ? Players?

    Is that right?

I work with a Man Utd season ticket holder, he's been going since he was a kid in the late 1950's!

Talking to him is just like talking to a Barnsley fan, or any other fan. He's interested in what I say about football as well. We were discussing Tommy Taylor last week.

  7. No we have never had any of them in your list and i fecking love the reds, i would never support a different team, unlike W@nk fans where i live in North Wales, tehy change there support every season around here,

We've had success, not very much granted, but we won the Play Offs in 2006!
Our fans can be immense on their day.
    Erm...Oakwell?
We have a great history, the longest serving club in the top two divisions.
Players...we've had plenty of decent players over the years and not a bad squad at present.

Apart from that we've got **** all and it's all Man Utd's fault!

  11. I never said that i blame them, i loved the play off winning season as much as everyone, i loved going to the prem and the seasons that i followed, i hated relegation to league one. I loved the 80s football and what football we played with Glavin, Banksy, Geddis, Aylott, Gordon Owen, then Currie, Cooper, Agnew, etc.

I just hate ManUre , end of story, there players intimidate refs and get decisions every game specially at Theatre of *****.

They intimidated the referee into giving a blatant and deliberate handball today!

Have you thought about a career as a....

... or politician? or the diplomatic corps perhaps. They're always on the look out for lucid, well reasoned free thinkers these days. Especially the BNP, they really need help.

If you're no where near the right tree, it's best to stop barking.

  15. Good one. The pen was a pen but how many decisions through out the season go in there favour, they get a pen in at least half there home games every year, ow many get given against them, hardly any. They are also very lucky, twice spurs have played them at theatre of ***** this season twice deserved something out of the game, berbatov hit the post in both games. Wes Brown handled the ball in the first game between them should of been a pen, but no ref gives **** all as per usual.

I remember a cast iron 88th minute pen for us there in 1998 not given, neville on liddell , Mike Riley, i rest my case

...and then we had an offside goal given in the replay. Swings and roundabouts mate.

If you were following the reds in the 80s then you must by now be an adult.

The same argument used to get levelled againt Liverpool

    in the 70's and '80's

By virtue of the way they play they get into the opponents area more, therefore more likelihood of a penalty.

Also, if you have 70,000 screaming penalty, then that is more likely to sway a ref who isn't quite sure than if there's silence....thats not bent that is just a fact.

Looking back I'm not fussed now about the one that wasn't given, as we wouldn't have had one of the best cup nights at Oakwell!
