ok so it was open to all, but not ALL could make it.Holidays, distance, work, health, family all reasons why a good deal of fans could physically not be there. So how come a report of the important questions/answers/announcements cannot ,or will not be made. This is just another sure fire way to annoy, irritate and alienate the fans.Nice one Barnsley FC.
not really, they had a session for anyone who turned up, ask someone who went if you want to know what went on.
tried that on here.matey but its a wall of silence.I live too far to have attended, but am imterested of the affairs of my chosen team.Unfortunately the attitude on here is one of "I know something you don't know,NAR NAR NA NAR NAR" pathetic. More pathetic though is the clubs non-report of last nights meeting.
do the club not intend uploading any minutes from the meeting or offering a summary on the website (eventually)?
RE: tried that on here.matey Okay Parky Why should the club report the meeting, it was a Supporters Trust meeting and run under Supporters Trust Rules. These are agreed with the guest speakers prior to the meetings. It was agreed for this meeting that details of the meeting should not be published on websites and the BBS, so that the participents could speak freely and openly. In my opinion this happened. Over 230 people attended the meeting, which was advertised as an open meeting. To clarify what was meant by open meeting. The Fans Forum meetings of the Trust are normally member only meetings. For this meeting, we agreed that any Supporter could attend the meeting, and that membership of the Trust was not compulsary, hence the word term open meeting. Whilst going on, on behalf of the Trust I would like to thank Patrick Cryne and Simon Davey for attending the meeting, all those who turned up and also the management of East Dene Club for allowing the meeting to be held there. It was also good to see that both PC and SD got a standing ovation at the end of the meeting If you need any more clarification on this you can email info@bfcst.org.uk
the key factor for me (who went as a non-BFCST person) is that there was talk of transfer activity and rightly so other clubs etc shouldn't be alerted to it. It was good of Mr Cryne and Davey to let those there know what was going on. They could have easily said nothing. As it happens some folk who went have completely disregarded the pleas for secrecy. The same people will be the first to blame the club for telling them about it [yet they moan when Davey says nothing!] and the player(s) sign elsewhere.
Agree entirely Parky - been a supporter for not far off 50 years and for the last 40 of those doing a 300 mile round trip, but because I couldn't make last nights meeting get tret like a second class supporter because as some smart alec said earlier I couldnt get off my fat arse and attend the meeting. So we divide the supporters again and make the club an even bigger laughing stock! So you come on here and ask a simple question and get reply from another smart alec! That was the whole point of parkys post Anderson15 to ask somebody who knew!
to be honest your post has just "lost my will to live" with all this as littlemoscowred has implied, yet another kick in the face for the fans.
With that I officially give up and will make no further comment on the whole thing. Some people will simply be unhappy whatever happens at BFC. We could be European Champions, winning every game in the season, free tickets to go in, free shirt for everyone, and people would moan the pies were £2.50
move on.... I didn't go as I couldn't make the 240 mile round trip ( I know, shame on me, I'm not a real fan etc) but most things that were said are all over various sites now and it'll all be in The Chron on Fri if not other regionals before. Have you considered the fact that there isn't really that much to tell and those that went are on a wind up. This is getting almost as boring as Liverpool/Chelsea tickets/Colchester stubs.
Unfortunatley secrets, are never secrets for long, I remember been on a jury at court once & been asked not to tell a living soul about the days events by the judge and yet when I walked from the court room,it was plastered all over the local paper! I think it laughable that perspective targets will go elsewhere if it's on this website ( that's the job of agents) but I respect the silence and hope we get our targets in soon. Respect yooo reds.
Perhaps they will hold a similar meeting down south now So that us "long distant" fans (many of them trust members) can have the same opportunity to ask questions, hear what SD &PC have to say etc seeing as we couldn't make it last night.
