Just in case he reads the comments on here. A very good friends son died last week after a long illness, and his funeral is tomorrow in Hull. His father wanted friends and family to remember him and not to mourn and requested all the people to wear bright colours and football shirts for the ceremony. So I phoned the football club up and asked for a shirt to be made ready with his name on the back, which they did. Simon Davey heard about my request and signed it with a very thoughtful message. TOP MAN and Thanks again.
Just got back from the funeral My mate thought the shirt was great, asked him where he would put it (He is a Hull City fan) after a few seconds he said "The Bin" then laughed. He said he would frame it and hang it up in the room. Fantastic turn out, the place had a downstairs and a balcony upstairs and people were still having to stand up in the reception part. His son was into loud banging type music, and my mate had to look through his son's mp3 player for some "respectable music", he played Lady Gaga's Poker face, he said his son loved that but did not want people to know. His ashes are going to be scattered on the pitch at the KC Stadium in a private ceremony. Just thought I would share today with some of you.
