    nope - he's useless

on the other hand - if we cant get anyone else in then we will have to.

in reality though he will get a new contract

I have been assured that he has done enough to warrant a contract extension

If Conlon goes permanently, possibly. we need a goalscorer desperately, and he's not one.

we need someone that is going to score not hold the ball up, thats all richards anh hayes seem to do, we need someone like chopra. maybe he is too good now but why not try loanin from prem again?

I would! I'd give him Hayes's contract. I think we would see a lot more of Richards if he were playing alongside a half decent striker. So far Hayes has made Conlon look worse than he is, Richards look worse than he is and Nardiello look worse than he is.

could be wrong but the few goals he has scored were&quot;nt they flukes. yes we know they all count but just not good enough not if we want to make a serious challange for promotion and if we did get promoted then what ? he wont cut the mustard in championship</p>

maybe its him that makes them all look crap, but what is the other option at the moment? i mean jarman looks a good player and plenty of potential but you cant just throgh him in at the deep end.

Why not? How old was Rooney when Everton first played him? How old was Hirst when Barnsley first played him. If he is good enough, he's old enough. I for one haven't seen him play as a striker in the first team, he always comes on in mid-field. Take Saturday for instance. We are crying out for someone upfront to score goals, so Ritchie takes Austin off (who I thought was having a decent game compared with everyone else) and brings Jarman on to play in midfield.

and as soon as he came on, did a class piece of play to release richards, who couldnt hit a barn door.

Yes. He's worked hard and added summat else to the front line

I'd give him a contract until the end of the season. However, that does not mean I wouldn't be on the look out for another striker.

I agree, he did what we should be able to expect from the likes of McPhail. My point is that he is supposed to be the long term answer to our striking problem.

It was a great turn and through ball, shame he wasnt on the end of his own handywork !

He works hard but you need a striker who can finish and score goals.
He doesnt look sharp enough for me.

Jarman should be playing alongside Hayes. Jarmans pass was textbook but Richards nearly hit the corner flag 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper which made me very angry because i could have done better. Why werent their loads of clubs queing up for him and why didnt Northampton (league 2) want him anymore? - because hes not a goalscorer. Strikers are on the pitch to score - its their job.
Andy Ritchie has made some brilliant signings but im afraid Richards isnt one of those.
Why did we sign him on a short term contract? To see if he could cut it in this league. The answer is NO.

I've got no doubt that if Jarman played alongside Hayes he would be getting the stick that Richards is getting. He would run his blood to water for the team, miss a chance and then the fans on here would no doubt jump on his back, reminding everyone of the lack of quality the academy produces ...

think your comments are uncalled for mate.forgot you were pele in your time!wat about at bornemouth last year when chopra missed that open goal????ok he made up for it by scoring but that isnt the point!what about richards goals at donny and the goal that effectively got us back in the game when we played blackpool!!!!we need someone who can hold the ball up aswell.. richards does that better than any barry conlon!look at steve torpey when we played scunny!!he dint score but tormented our defence he missed but at sitter!!judge richards after christmas m8 when his contract runs out and when we see how many goals hes scored!!!
