On main web site now re: offered him a contract. I see he has had a knee injury...here we go again...
So did Fola he's never been prolific and has done a tour of lower league sides. forgive me for not getting overly excited by this one.
I really hope he is But is no one else worried that we're trying to sign a striker that only scored 10 goals from his 53 games with a league two club (4 of which came in one game), who was out with an injury for 6 months last season, who was released by that league two club and who has taken until the end of August to find himself a new club? I hope he's brilliant and if he signs he'll get a very good recpetion from me, but am I the only one who thinks that despite our lack of financial clout we should be after someone a bit more proven? Richards hasn't even proved himslef in the basement division, never mind this one.
Very worried. We've tried too many 'maybe they'll make it' buys over recent years, all of which have failed to meet even the lowest expectations. We need proven experience.
RE: Get ready for Conlonwatch Not worth it - not enough people rate him to make it as viable wind up. Shukerwatch on the other hand, now that would be worthwhile. Minutes on pitch Number of attempted crosses Number of those which went above ankle height Number of those above ankle height that went past the first defender Number of players beaten (by sheer skill) Number of players beaten (by explosive pace) Number of players beaten (other - eg. lucky rebound, coming back from offside and happened to be facing right way when ball arrived etc.) Yeah. Shukerwatch. It's got mileage.
for what it's worth i did not rate him in the reserve game but there again one swallow does'nt make a summer and it might take a few games to assess his ability.ff
# times he cuts inside a player... cos he simply hasn't got the pace or skill to beat him, then delivers a cross from a stupid position which hits 1st defender anyway. this exam idea of yours (not that you're turning into Adam Hinchcliff or owt but...) what should be asked do you reckon? (and hey, if only BFC could afford to sort the wheat from the chaff)
