Has got to be on next match. How he deserved to get dropped is beyond me. Personally I would drop Nyatanga and tell Smith that he has got to run forward. I don't trust Townsend with the way he comes out of his net so I would like Davies to come back to the starting 11.

Agree. Townsend scares me to death.

I like him me. Davies worries me too but I reckon Townsend looks half decent/mental. My kinda keeper.

We just need some razor wire round the 18yard box with him.

Unbeaten in Grobbelaar's last two games, can't see him dropping him.

I'd have three at the back and play wing backs because I'm a foolhardy maniac.

George Smith's doing fine. Hairstyle aside.

Smith should be allowed to concentrate on defending. Get wingers in to get forward. Smith isn't an attacking full back and he'll only get exposed if he's forced to get forward.

It's a tough one because I like Roberts and can only see him improving but everyone is crying out for experience in the side and, for us, Nyatanga is the experienced one. Mawson is our captain so it's unlikely that he'll get dropped either. (Plus I think Mawson is a very good player)

Looks like 3 at the back it is then!

Townsend very much reminds me of Tony Bullock......he use to dart out to the wing regularly for no apparant reason.

That said i saw Manuel Neuer end up over the half way line the other night when coming out to clear the ball....so i suppose even the top players can have a sudden rush of blood.

That Neuer incident was bizarre. Not so much a keeper thinking he is a sweeper, more one who thought he was an attacking midfielder for a few seconds.

He got away with it though :)

Townsend is more like Bartoz Bialkowski - nicknamed 'the scary keeper.' Makes for interesting games, though! You never know what he will do next.

He always seems to be in 2 minds about everything Townsend. It'll eventually come with experience, he'll get more composed and confident when he starts to read the game better. Think he's a good shot stopper. Think he definitely has potential though. Like rest of young uns
