7 games 4 home 3 away Most of them against promotion rivals. Two of the others against teams that well beat us at home. Take the current form into March ( starting with a win over Derby) and we’re a shoe in for play offs, or better.
The annoying team to watch out for now are Wycombe, who are the dirty kings of shi*those football. Its important that we've pulled further away from Peterbrough and Shrewsbury, to give us that extra points cushion. And with those games in hand to come, its definitely still in our own hands and all to play for, and all to look forward to.
Beat Derby and they can worry about Wycombe catching them instead. With our games in hand I would expect to be above Bolton eventually.
Well I wasn't giggling when I typed it, but I am now lol. But they have beat both Derby & Bolton in their last two home games. Gareth Ainsworth still dresses like a corner shop chicken plucker (and try saying that when your sloshed).
Just finished watching The Lost boys on the Beeb, and it made me think... " Never invite Gareth Ainsworth into your house, it renders you powerless!. " " One thing I can't stand about playing away at Wycombe, is all the damn vampires!. "
I'd rather Wycombe make the play off spots than Derby. We're on a roll, confidence is high, I think we'll be right!
Next weekend is a very intriguing encounter. For all the money Derby have put out assembling that squad, the only team in the top half who they've beaten away from home is Port Vale (who only snuck into the top half yesterday after beating Exeter). They've drawn 3 and lost 3 away, and still have to travel to Plymouth and Hillsborough. To balance that out, the only side we've beaten at home currently in the top half is Charlton. That being said, we've only played 3 of the current top 12 at home.
I used to think the same, but I really can't stand the way he gets Wycombe playing. But a few seasons ago I felt sorry for them getting relegated, because the EFL allowed Derby to stay up for one more season.
