At Least He Has An Excuse For Not Being Able To Write Properly What's yours? I've never seen you answer this, so please humour me. Why the capitals?
RE: At Least He Has An Excuse For Not Being Able To Write Properly Leave him...ffs (zzz) (zzz)
Obviously prefers to type like that for some strange reason...

RE: never seen him answer either but No, I don't suppose it does, though it is pretty irritating. More than anything, I'm intrigued to know why someone would type in a fashion that requires more effort than the correct version? At least with txt spk it saves on finger effort., so there is a logic to it. But generally, I'm a grumpy bugger that gets annoyed by little things like that, and the rapid decline of the use of the English language. Like I said... a few have asked (more than politely) and there is never any reasoning given - I genuinely want to know!
RE: never seen him answer either but Maybe he has problems with spelling and this, in some way, helps to counteract that?
RE: never seen him answer either but Except "txt spk" takes longer to type as have to think about it more, and takes ages to decipher - well at least for an old bugger like me. And occasionally isn't even shorter - I once saw "n e one", so actually more keys than anyone. Tried the predictive text on my new phone the other day, and it's far better than the old one, usually does know the word - so that has got to be quicker
RE: At Least He Has An Excuse For Not Being Able To Write Properly He started doing it and then after everyone got used to it thought it'd look odd if he changed it. I asked a couple of times months ago but I don't think there's any need to keep going on about it.
Don't get me wrong... "Txt Spk" is one of the most evil concoctions of recent times and I'm at a loss to understand those that advocate its use, all I'm saying is that you can almost see why it appeals to the lazy (though you are right, the whole learning process for what means what takes plenty of effort). I take your point though there are some cases where it takes longer. I'm just not with it any more, sorry.
That makes no sense! What with the English language not using a capital letter to start every word, it stands out like a sore thumb precisely because you're not used to it. Maybe thats why it irritates me, I really can't explain it. I shall say no more on the matter, it really isn't a big deal, I just asked a bit back and there was no answer, then saw others ask and they too got no answer, so I wondered if there was some long elaborate tale behind it. I really have got too much time on my hands haven't I?? Mind - you being a journalist you'd be used to it, headline type and all that. By the way, my irritating habit is over use of the 3 consecutive full stops...
I've got the "three full-stops" bug too... We've all got our crosses to bear, I suppose (or should that be "all gt r xs to br"?!)...
Mine is the overuse of exclamation marks!!!!!!!! If it's not using more than one together, then it's often finishing every sentence in an email or posting with one!
Do you write the headlines and intros on the official site? lol Mine is a lack of capital letters. I do always use them when writing normally or on something important but when i'm on here i just seem to forget them, I notice them about three words later but cant be arsed to go back and change it. No idea why.
