    RE: completely agree,

He can't tackle (was scared to death of going anywhere near Showunmi today), rarely gets forward and played a couple of crazy balls across our backline that got intercepted by them and put us pressure.

Why play him when Bpobby Hassell is one of our best players and is playing out of position?

Lack of depth in our squad and our manager getting the face on with some of his naughty players!!!

    Not a patch on Austin

Barry Murphy could still do a better job than Van Homoet and he must be 60 odd years old.

Oh aye, no problems with Spud

Don't worry. Ian's loaded, £75 tips are common place with him. He's Dodworth's version of the Harry Enfield character Loadsamoney!!! :D :D

Completely disagree. New contender for whipping boy though? A few people around where I sit have decided that Leon is ***** (didnt have the best of games but FFS - *****!?! - they said the same about Howard until the Liverpool game, now they think he's the new Zidane. Van Homoet will be a decent laiker given chance. Dont base your judgements on the past two games which were both influenced by gale force winds and where we desperately lacked the calming influence of Anderson to stop the pinball panic that was evident at times today. Ps.....can we have a poll for the new whipping boy now that we are giving Odejayi a chance!

i disagree too! thought Van Homoet did well today did ok on the ball, kept Wade Small very quiet and in the occasions where he got stuck with Showumni i thought he did well to handle him too. Some fans don't realise how hard it is sometimes especially in the wind today trying to cope with a lad that big. Thought he did well.

Wouldn't be surprise if somebody on here was the bloke near me today saying that Macken was ****.

    Where were you sitting

I had a guy behind me saying the same about Macken - was beside himself when we took Nads off and left "useless Macken who never does anything" and "isnt good enough" on.
Had to bite my tongue - I know its a matter of opinion but how anyone could think Nardiello was having a better game than Macken cant understand how football works

Totally can't comprehend the Van Homoet bashers. He's a proper athlete and footballer who probably wonders why he's getting nothing but derision in the second half after being our best player in the first half. Anyone who would want 'Don't expect me to control or pass the ball but I can run' Austin back must be bananas. Also VH played better than Foster against QPR.

I thought he had a fair game

certainly not the worst on the pitch.

as for the "austin" camp proper ROFL.

    He was Woeful second half

put some great passes in to their strikers and was so slow even I could have taken the ball off him

He did do some good tracking back though a few times

    - Oh and I dont want Austin back - I'd have played Hassel at right back

Toss up between him and Nardiello as our worst player
