Went on Twitter in the changing room to apologise for getting sent off. While the game was still being played.

Davies could have tweeted anytime after the penalty, he had so little to do ☺

Gave Birmingham there 1st goal, and his sending off was stupid on his behalf, Davis had the ball covered for me, his game play was good up them 2 mistakes. For me me he wants a rest, bring on Jackson.

He's not ready for the premiership so if he goes it will only be for the money. He's not even had a full season at this level yet. Mawson is struggling from only playing a few weeks at this level before rushing off to the premier league. Roberts would be the same. One of our best players but still got a lot to learn.

I haven't seen it back yet but it looked a blatant penalty to me. He had no need to make the tackle because it looked like Davies had it covered.

Having seen it back I'd say that it was a penalty but definitely not a sending off because it wasn't an obvious goalscoring opportunity (Davies had it well and truly covered)

I agree. I was surprised to say the least when he was shown a red card.

On tv footy last night they said that if he'd tried a tackle and brought their player down he'd have probably only got a yellow card... and a penalty. Because he made no attempt to get the ball but simply barged into the player's back then it had to be a straight red.
But with that referee, who knows.

But he was also wearing a Barnsley shirt, so straight red card either way.

At least two premiership clubs want him. I hope January goes quick!

    I've only just watched it.

It's harsh. As it is covered by Davies.

On the other hand in situations like this I always think with the "shoe on the other foot".

In this case 90 percent of our crowd likely want blood for a penalty and red card.

However the slight change in rules really has confused matters with everyone. I wasn't aware of this double jeopardy thing until the time it happened so at that point I fully expected a red being shown.

Is mawson struggling though? Or is he just part of a struggling team? I see hes starting regularly now at least.

I keep trying to gauge how he's playing from the highlights, but Swansea are a bit like us in TV world. Last to be showed and very short ☺

He was getting pulled about like stretch Armstrong by Bournemouth. He certainly didn't look good. But to be fair the whole Swansea side are completely inept out of possession - he can't do it on his own.

If clement can come in and sort them out organisationally wise, then we can judge. Assuming he still gets a game.

Hope he does well, he did well for us, comes across as a top bloke, and owes us nowt.
