So after being shunted by Rotherham, where does this leave Mark Robins? Nearly a year since resigning at Oakwell and as of yet no new job.

Did he shoot himself in the foot with the way/reasons he resigned?

He finished 17th and 18th in the 2 seasons with us so this isn't going to be enough for a big Championship club to be impressed and come in for him, but the smaller clubs won't want him if he refuses to work on small budgets.

Weird how all our recent ex-managers seem to be out of work. Robins, Davey, Ritchie, Hart, Thordarson, Hodges are all now out of the managerial cycle.

Steve Parkin is assistant coach at Bradford and Spackman is working at the Glen Hoddle Academy apparently.
There's only really Wilson who's got a proper managers job - talk about Oakwell being a managers graveyard!!!

Yes. The way he reacted to being told about the lower budget will look like he's little faith in his own ability to still be a success. Other clubs will have taken note of how he took his ball home with us by wanting time to think about things. It's not a shock he's still out of work and if he gets another chance it won't be in our league.

Makes you wonder how all his backroom staff feel towards him now...

I know I wouldn't be best pleased if I was told we were walking from a pretty secure job and still unemployed a year later!

Crap as per usual. He wanted time to assess where it left him in terms of recruitment. Don't you think he'd already got players lined up at the expected level of funding and then unexpectedly had to redo everything? Asking for time to assess what he coudl do was reasonable IMHO. Instead teh club then put him on 12 months notice, effectiveley dismissing him.

Hart has managed in Prem and Parkin was Head coach at Hull when they were promoted to the Premiership.

Robins still living on our money, Gudjon managing in Iceland, Hodges assists Mark Hughes wherever he manages. Davey wouldn`t want to know.
