intresting listen that. I bet a few players will be told to find another club this week, then more to go in January. Don't sound too good for Thompson and Oddjob.
The main point I'd take from that Is the terrible injury suffered by JCR. Sounds like he can't see out of one of his eyes. Poor lad. Get well soon Jamal.
Yes, hopefully it's not as terrible as it sounds and once the blood stops flowing he'll be right again.
At last we have a manager who agrees with 90% of the crowd. Players not up to the job at this level. I guess some maybe on their way pretty sharpish.
How refreshing, i'm so happy and confident with him its untrue he sounds like a fan talking, can't remember last time i heard a manager talk that saw game as i saw it (Y)
RE: he says it like it is yeah I agree, like managers that come and speak up, he seems the type of manager that won't take any crap from the players
Not sure I'd go that far The so happy and confident bit that is. Its one thing to talk the talk and all that..... but lets see whether he can do something with the mess he has inherited. The good thing is as you point out he obviously watched the same game that we did - and I dont think many will disagree with his assesment. I found particularly interesting his comment about training performance verses matchday performance Just wonder if instilling some confidence in our existing players can do the trick or if some wholesale changes will be needed.
A combination of both in my opinion Foster, Devaney, JCR, anderson, steele (though he didn't play yesterday), hume, etc all have the ability but have not been performing to the level that we know they can for quite some time now and that is what robins has to try to sort out. As for other players/positions then yes big changes are needed because they are simply not up to the job.
Bit harsh on Hume and Steele there In my opinion Dont think Steele has done much wrong this season and Hume is still coming back to match fitness. Foster Devaney Anderson JCR I agree with and I'd add Hassel and Kozluk to that list
Sorry I wasn't clear with my list, I put different people on it for different reasons. Hume because he isn't at his best yet after injury, Steele I just don't think has been as good as previously (not sure what the reason is for that but I doubt its confidence, possibly a lack of confidence in his defence), JCR because he has become big headed and lazy and acts like he doesnt want to be at the club, certainly not a lack of confidence from him though. I'd agree with adding the others on to the list as well and would add bogdanovic on as someone who isn't at his best due to being played out of position or with tactics that havent suited him.
One thing we can contribute is the 12th man The way this fella talks I recon he needs the fans to get behind the team from day one at home specially > Lots of first class players even at premiership level are confidence players and on the pitch they need to know we are willing to give that backing if they get stuck in.... less of the grumbling at off days, poor touches , missed tackles etc . for a few weeks at least lets give the guy and the team every support.... fortress Oakwell again... The ??King ?? is dead long live the King..... It could be the start of a new era we need to give the man every chance....
RE: One thing we can contribute is the 12th man And if he at least gets them to show a bit of heart and endeavour, even the most fickle of fans will get behind them - it only takes one strong tackle to stir up the fans. Its a long road to where we need to be but at least we've got a guy in who's found the right bloody road!
Just back from the weekend away, by the sounds of Robins its going to take a big shake up to turn things around we must have been realy poor. Or maybe just the same performance that we have had to get used to, lets hope he's got plenty of decent loan signings lined up.
Sounds similar to what happened to me once Got a ball kicked in my eye when I wore contact lenses and my eye bled and I lost sight in my eye for a couple of days - was rather scary but was okay in the end thankfully, just had to have some eye drops and stuff.
