perhaps next season this season hopefully around 14th 15th....next season better I hope.Robins has a quality the Welsh bloke had not...."Managerial Quality"
Robins is definately a winner... ... well, until his next defeat. Then it'll be;
He's *****
No, or bewildering tactics
Didn't sub at the right time and didn't bring the right players on at the right time
Poor team selection
yadda yadda
and all this from 'supporters' that know far more about the modern, professional game of association football than Mark Robins.
Well played today Tarn. Keep it up.

My opinnion is that we haven't clicked yet............ ..............I honestly think we have a squad right now that could do really well, if only each player beleived more in their own ability and the ability of the other players around them We haven't had the quality and depth of squad for years like we have now Robins has still got a lot of work to do to get us rolling as we should be
The belief will come............... Robins is having to undo DAVEY telling them for months that the opposition are better than them and going into games shitting themselves.
Why? That is just what Simon Davey was telling the players. He sent his team out to always nullify the other team, instead of letting the opponents worry about how good we could play. That was the biggest let down with Davey.
Swansea at home last season, SD **** himself in the pre-match Interview How good they were etc etc, not one mention of us of how we were going to get at them. Resulted in a 1-3 loss.
That is what I was meaning. Plenty more games to choose from too. Robins seems to want others to be worried about us, yet he still works away to prevent them out playing us(mostly).
RE: perhaps next season I'm convinced we'll be higher than 14th or 15th. I'm backing us to go above halfway......
This season is about staying up once he adds his own players in the upcoming windows.... Well let's just say it's exciting times
wait until we have a bad patch Which we undoubtedly will at some stage - there will be some posts like that then
RE: Says the bloke who was telling us all that Robins was the wrong choice That's not my point Jay and you know it. It's true, I said that MR didn't have IMHO the right credentials but was quite prepared to give him a shot. Personally I thought there were better options but if he does well then fair enough; if he fails you won't have me carping on with the old 'I told you so' routine either.
RE: Says the bloke who was telling us all that Robins was the wrong choice Your point seemed to be that if you're not 100% behind everything Robins does and if you question him at all then you're not a proper supporter. Where as I believe discussing tactics, team selections and substitutions and giving your own opinion on them is exactly what this Barnsley FC forum is for. It doesn't make you any less of a supporter any more than having reservations about a new manager.
If my maths is correct, he has garnered 1.77 points per match. If continued to the end of the season, we would attain 71/72 points, which could well make a play-off berth.
RE: Says the bloke who was telling us all that Robins was the wrong choice Is this mis-interpretation Sunday or summat?
My point is that if things go a bit awry which they may well, but hopefully not, then there will be some on here that have a distinct lack of patience calling for blood. And doing it in shall we say 'less than constructive' ways.
Now that Robins IS in charge he'll get my full support as any right-minded supporter should do.
