Given what he did at Rotherham, to an extent with us and now with Coventry, starting to look like an extremely good manager indeed. Bollock dropped?
Probably the only time since we came up that at the end of the season l thought we were actually going somewhere was after that final Millwall game. Then they cut his budget and him and the fans disappeared.
Was doing a good job, then all this ******** arose about some financial fair play rule which was set to come in at the start of this season, and the powers that be, significantly cut his budget. This is why I think only part of the blame can lay at the managers feet. Keiths had his hands tied behind his back, as would Robins had he stayed on. Which is also why, I think that there isn't a man out there who we could realistically bring in, that can keep us in this division.
I liked Robins as a manager, but when he wanted out because he was told to up him performance with less money, he showed he didn't have the balls for a challenge. And off he went.
They never cut his budget. He was asked to stay on and have gte same budget but without the extra support from Cryne and felt he couldn't progress without extra support. He was probably right.
He didn't even say that much did he? He asked to consider it over his holidays, the club then gave him his notice.
Some of the worst fooball I've seen under Robins....and let better players go,than he brought in....ie JCR Hume Anderson
Agree with that. Hated going to the matches when he was Manager. If he had stayed, I doubt if I would have renewed my season ticket.
