Drastically reduce the price of replica kits for kids. We all know that they cost next to produce and it isn't £30 - £40. By being the only club willing to take the bold step to sell kits at say £10 each , parents will be happier to fork out.... and here's the beauty of it....
Research has shown that one of the critical reasons why people support the team they do is because as a child they were given a reason to identify with a team eg they had a kit for that team. Kids identify themselves & their peers with the kits they wear & before they know it kids are in their own minds "supporters" of that club. Essentially, by being the team providing the most affordable replica shirt to youngsters in the area, BFC could win back the lost revenue in years to come from their new found fans.
You only have to look at the sales of the England revesible white kit a couple of years ago (at a reasonable £25), to see how it could work.
Lets stop ripping our kids off, and encourage the kids of Barnsley to wear BFC stuff insted of Man U Chelsea etc.Maybe they could do a "Buy an adult shirt, get kids shirt for £10" offer.

Great Idea...it'll never be taken on

like entry prices why have 2000 kids at £5 when you can have 833 at £12?

Following my allegedly libellous 'never again' post of yesterday.

Here's a proposal, BFC. Extend the 'kids go free' deal (I'd even let you up the ante to, let's say, to a fiver each), make kids' replica kits a tenner a time and you've got me back. Imagine that, an extra adult ticket sold, three more bums on seats and still turning a profit on a couple of kids' shirts. Multiply that a good few times over (I'm just guessing) and the results will speak for themselves. Christ, my young 'uns might even come back as full-paying adults one day!!

    Rocket science it's not...

Isn't a kids season ticket around £5 per match anyway?

In the light if PC's comments today, any promotional ideas that may reduce the clubs income in the short term may well be risky.

I'd certainally like to see some more incentives for kids- those who buy season tickets shoul ALL get shirts free of charge.... set the price of season ticket to something reasonable.
we want them wearing the stuff!
Adults buying a shirt entitled to kids one at £10
and a suitable incentive going out into schools - offering cut price replica kit to kids who have been involved in football in the community weeks etc. These folks are fans of the future - for life... they should be treated like royalty ... (that is before you start ripping them off at 18!!)
