    MOM for me.

Got stuck in and won possession countless times. Great footwork for the goal.

Thought Isgrove's direct running at the same time that Hammill was giving their right back a torrid time, just gave them too much to cope with.

    Makes a nice change.

Good game for him and unlucky when he set Hamill up for the shot first half. A player that always contributes for me. Having said that every player deserved the plaudits, Pearson was Awsome

If Pearsn could hit any level of that level consistency he would be a great player. His best game for us by some distance.

Whole team played with a lot more positivity today.

We were playing a very poor team, (as opposed to Wigan, who are possibly the strongest in terms of their personnel).

There were at least 5 in the frame for MOTM today for me. I'd have probably have given it to Isgrove or Winnall (who unselfishly gave up a hat trick to set Marley up).

You say that but there was an instance at 3-1 when Hammill and Hourihane had both found space on the left and Winnall waited too long to try the pass as he was waiting for enough space for himself to shoot. Had he been selfless on that occasion, we might have got a 4th sooner than we did.

    All irrelevant now.

Couldn't agree more about Marley, the guy was absolutely phenomenal all game. He closed everything down all game and their defenders didn't have a minutes peace, they were shitting themselves. I voted for him although I understand if a few others had of gotten it, Pearson, Hammill etc. He linked the play up, he held the ball up countless times, he won us throw ins, corners, free kicks you name it.

Ever since I saw him stick that one on one away against Swindon (our first goal) it just screamed striker not a winger. Glad he's found his place, mark my words if you're still a bit unsure about him you won't be soon, we have a very good, intelligent player on our hands.

I agree generally but I like how he plays his wing play. He out muscles the defenders and works space for others. He is still one that gets involved with creating many chances for us alongside Hourihane. Our wing options right now couldn't be better with Isgrove looking in form, Hamill giving defenders a torrid time plus Williams back to fitness. Gives us options now with Marley. The footwork and finish for his goal were outstanding.

I know the general consensus of the forum is that he's not a striker, but I think he certainly has the attributes to become a quality all round forward. He strong and good in the air, brings others in to play and sets up a lot of goals, all qualities needed in a target man. However, he's also quick, skilful, can take a man on and harries defenders, all qualities of a striker that plays on the last man and looks to get in behind.

Where's he's probably lacking at the moment is his instinctive finishing, he's not quite a fox in the box and it's shown on occasion. However that's likely to come with experience. I think now that Toney has gone back he should get an extended run in the team up front with Winnall. Give them a chance to form a partnership and if it doesn't work we can always replace with a new striker that we should be looking to sign in January whatever the case.
