Does anyone think we should have tried to keep Marlon, especially now that it looks like the COG deal might have fallen through? I think if he'd been given regular games like COG was last season, he'd have done well. We still might have been missing the goals mind.
I know what you're saying but in my view, Marlon's days at our level are numbered. As much as I loved his commitment to the cause last season which will live long in my memory.
No, Marlon did a job last season, but id fear our prowess in front of goal with Harewood and without COG would be limited. I feel the same over Stead, he's a good target man, but his strike ratio hasn't been up to much since his league 2 days with Huddersfield. Clayton Donaldson however, does have a decent strike ratio, he'd be a worthwhile gamble in my opinion.
