Does that mean they run out on the pitch with the team as well Or is that reserved for lifelong fans , etc
I would imagine it's the new idea. Lots of teams charge parents to let their kids be Mascots. When Laura was one earlier this year it was mentioned that BFC were considering following suit, but the person who has had the job of seeing to the Mascots did not approve of the decision.
So the new marketing manager has come up with so far: Put some pictures up in the executive suite and call it the legends bar, pay more for the same. Charge people for their kids to be mascots. Genius this bloke. Crystal could you have afforded £175 for Laura to be mascot? That's more than a season ticket for a child. It beggars belief how they think this is going to be of long term good for the club. Some rich kid paddy's until daddy makes him the mascot, doesn't appreciate it cos he gets everything he paddys for, then buggers off to be a Manchester United fan, rather than it being on a first come first served basis and a real dream for a real fans kid who will then follow 'tarn for rest of their life.
does it matter? think about it there will be a mascot regardless. if some parents or family want to pay the money for their child to be "Exec" mascot then whats the problem? extra, unearned income for the club. roberts your fathers brother
RE: So the new marketing manager has come up with so far: It's a good idea because they know people will pay them for these ideas. i.e. people will use the Executive Suite, and parents will pay for their kids to be mascot.
No we couldn't have. As you say the kids who have interest in BFC are being priced out. Laura wants to attend more games and would like a ST but it would mean I would have to have one as well and there is no chance of being able to buy 3 tickets. Big Lil will have his and we will have to chooses matches as we can afford them.
Not really rocket science though is it. In total the mascot scheme will nett the club about £1500, once you take off the costs, the fact that the kid would have bought a full kit from the shop to be the mascot, etc. etc. That's less than 5 additional season ticket sales. I think there are other priorities, like selling boxes / corporate packages. I seem to recall someone on this site or more likely the other site had problems getting a response for a sponsorship package from the club. Probably because he was typing a report on the "executive mascot scheme" at the time.
