Id imagine when the clause was put in, it was specifically for England? Most clubs will do their research on lineage. I.e Barkley could have played for Nigeria and Ryan Giggs for Sierra Leone for example so obviously wouldn't have had a harder path to international football. Be nice if they haven't and its for any team!
