Just a shame ilnesses and suspensions had to force him into that team.

Fingers crossed Steve will get 10+ goals between now and the end of the season and keep us up!! Made marc richards look the sunday league player he is when he came on. Where would we be if wed had those two upfront from the off????

For some reason i had a sneaky feeling we would win 3-0 tonight so was quietly confident. When i saw how bad they were - espess the keeper - i knew we could do it. All they have are big burly blokes with no pace, no imagination and **** all to be honest. Ray who??????? I thought he might have been decent for us but he did absolutely nothing.

So, onwards. Lets hope we can build on this now and not do the usual 2 or 3 games with nowt.

    U reds!

    Agreed.

I wasn't impressed when he got the job and some of the early changes he made didn't look to promising.

However, I've been saying from last May, as have many others, that we needed another quality centre half and at least one proven striker. Davey has strengthened in these areas and brought in some quality cover for midfield (and Mattis, bafflingly). His signings all still have a lot to prove but he's found players we can afford for the areas we need them. Better late than never and hopefully it'll come good in time to keep us up here.
