...no, not that one - can't be arsed with that.

I finally get to play on Ninian Park in a 6-a-side tournament organised as the last games at NP. Group qualifiers tomorrow night (4 games each team), Finals on sunday.

Biggest worry is that one of our squad of 10 40-odd year olds is going to keel over on the hallowed turf :D

Missus has upped the insurance policy for some reason

    Relaxed muscle

...thats what I'm calling it anyway :D

Looking forward to it/dreading it at the same time. Bound to be in a with group of super-fit youngsters.

Will have to use all our experience (some decent players in our side, all bar 2 have been paid to play previously - and one of those was a UEFA ref), and besides - can't see them getting past many of us, that "win at all costs" mentality will kick in i'm sure lol.

    The only time

I've set foot on the hallowed turf at Oakwell was four years ago when Laura was a mascot. The best I could manage was to break into a wobble.

    Must have enjoyed that

...and almost as much as Laura :D

We're only doing it because its the last chance we'll get & at £20/man its an opportunity we can't miss - don't really care about the results if I'm honest, just want to get out there.

Everyone has suddenly wanted to play in goals for some reason - except me that is. I've got an MRI scan on a torn shoulder tendon tomorrow morning (did it last August bank holiday!!) - & as a keeper i'd have been as uselful as Albert, the one-armed dishwasher in "Robins Nest" :D

    I'm honoured

...to be even thought of in the same context.

    Although 20 years ago.....

    But there are limits

A line that shouldn't be crossed, as it were.

    RE: Absolutely spot on .....

I must be thinking of a different game or event at a game then.

    It was definitely sunny! :)
