    Barnsley secured a first away league win since August thanks to goals from Brian Howard and Martin Devaney.

    Tykes midfielder Howard broke powerfully into Luton's penalty area in the seventh minute to fire home left-footed into the bottom corner.

    Both sides created chances after the interval in an even contest but Luton lacked a cutting edge up front.

    Howard turned provider in the last minute when his pass set up Devaney and he shot low into the Luton net.
