First half I thought they’d resurrected Gordon Banks to play in goal. Made a few good saves 2nd too. Turns out he’s on loan from Boro too. Must have some cracking keepers if him and Roberts can’t get a game.
In view of their winning run, which included beating Pompey and Bolton, I expected more of a goal threat from Orient today. Even after going a goal down, we could have been out of sight had it not been for their keeper, who made some decent saves. He was easily their best player. Orient were competitive, and frustrated us, but the result was the right one.
On balance yes, we deserved it. On another day, our missed chances would have come back to haunt us as has happened on several occasions this season. We really do need to be more clinical moving forward. We also need to stop dithering out wide when the opportunity to get the ball in the box early presents itself. How many times did we get the ball out wide only for Cotter, then Williams, then O'Keefe to turn back inside and come short? I think I counted 6. Those are chances. That being said, a deserved three points. COYR!
More pleasing than the win. (Although it was a Bizzare last 10 minutes and one of my favourites, I can't remember last time that situation happened if indeed at all) . Is how we have performed in the last 2 games. 90mins of full on commitment and better understanding between the players. Very rarely have we seen that this season. Plenty of 45min displays. Come on yooooooooo redddddddds.
I thought they were well organised and ‘squeezed’ us well. However, we had more shots at goal in the first 20 minutes than we had in total in our last 3 home games. Their keeper pulled some great saves off as well, they weren’t just misses. On another day Devante has 2 goals and we score 5 or 6
We were very good first half and lost the half 1-0. We were very bad second half and won the half 2-0.
I don’t think we were very bad second half, we dominated play but were often very frustrating with poor decision making. They defended in numbers and made it very difficult
We weren’t great, but did enough to deserve the win. Their keeper made some very good saves, although he wasn’t as confident with balls in the air, as our first goal shows. The reason our possession looks good is how long we spend playing it across the back. God it was boring.at times.
Completely agree mate. We were far from very bad in the second half. Slow at times, but you could see what we were trying to do to break them down, just didn't always come off for us
