Match ticket prices reduced for Crystal Palace game at oakwell

Following a meeting between the Supporters Trust and Barnsley FC, it was agreed that the game against Crystal Palace should be designated a community game. Ticket prices for this game will be reduced to

£5.00 Juniors (UNder 16)
£10.00 Over 60's
£15.00 adults

Supporters claim that reducing match prices will lead to an increase in attendances, this is not always the case. This season, Stoke reduced prices against Barnsley for home supporters and found that the gate was reduced and they lost money. Ticket prices have previously been reduced at Oakwell for games, Colchester etc and the gates have not increased, Leicester did increase, but this was also helped by the timing of the game and the importance of the match.

The Supporters Trust would encourage ALL supporters and the people of Barnsley to support this match and encourage friends and faimily to come along to this game. The Supporters Trust have also agreed to work to promote this game in the community, to help to maximise the attendance.

Many people on this board have appealed for a price promotion game, well we have one, let's back the club and support them on this.

Club is always about getting back the fair weather fans with deals like this, but they never give us season ticket holders that go whatever any incentive.
