What another waste of money he was. £15,000 per game not including 18 months wages. approx 18 months wages @ £1000 per week £77k. total loss £30k per game.
Mattis .............how many is that now ??? Mattis, and there's Nardia Stan Johnson Togwell Christensen Ricketts has already gone Can't see Mostto coming back Is that all of them ???
he now joins the "hall of fame" which currently includes mdfield dynamo Robbie Williams and Barry Conlon
never stood a chance after being thrown to the lions in his first game.... bad man management by a novice manager-should have been subbed at half time-hopefully learnt from his mistakes
Good, looks like they are reading messages on this board! Get rid of the avarage players this will free up more money(wages) FOR BETTER QUALITY players.
Re: Mattis was one of the many rushed jobs to try and patch things up Most of the pre-season signings were also .......what you could call hopefulls....... Although some of the hopefuls turned out to be gems - Muller, Sousa, Leon, Werling The loan signings were tested first and then signed because they obviously cost more money and the club wasn't in a position to just go straight out and splash the cash hoping that they would come good. As it happened they did come good and they were all signed. We are now more established in this league........the next batch coming in will be less of a risk and therefore should have more quality. I'm expecting 2 or 3 in the Maken class and maybe a couple in the Sousa/Werling catogory i.e. 2 or 3 well tested players and a couple that hopefully will come good.
I'm guessing... ...these announcements are being made as and when Davey has had a chance to speak to the players concerned individually. That may be why the story of the 5 released earlier in the week was pulled off the site so quickly. Maybe one of the players hadn't actually been told!
RE: What another waste of money he was. 75K or roughly 250 adult seaon tickets for Ponty. Christensen, Mossto etc how many? no wonder PC is giving it the big push for new customers.
Which is odd because mattis was worse than any of the midfield that we had at the time. You would have thought that the manager would have checked he was good enough before signing him form the bottom league. I suspect that we had already accepted relegation when we signed mattis and that he was bought as a future league one player.
I had a feeling he was signed in case we went down May have been OK in the 3rd division but out of his depth on the admittedly limited chance he had with us
