    MILLWALL boss Willie Donachie has not admitted defeat in his bid to sign midfielder Dwayne Mattis from Barnsley.

    But the 26-year-old was at the club's training ground on Tuesday to look at the set-up.

    But his mother recently had an operation and he is worried about moving south permanently while she is still unwell.

    "He can get up and down and put his foot in and there are not too many like him," said the boss. "But we can do well with the midfielders we have got."

    I was being sarcastic, but Drain Matress hasn't really been given a chance to prove himself. Well it would be an excuse for Davey to bring in signing number 1,897th.
