Watched the Hibs game and Matty scored. Bit of a poachers goal. Good take, he was in the right place at the right time.
I take it he is there on loan.
Is he committed to Hibs till the end of the season or can he be recalled?

I watched that on BBC Scotland 951 channel. First time I noticed him was when he was fouled and down hurt. The second time was when he scored the easiest goal he will ever score after a very bad keeper howler. Based on what I saw i'm glad he's out on loan because his performance wasn't impressive.

You're right, he never done (pun) much more in the game. Still scored though.

As for him remaining in Scotland, I'm ok with that. As long as its with Hibs. :)

The problem is that looking good in Scotland is a far cry from looking good in the championship. It's an embarrassingly bad standard of football up there.

You'll get no argument from me on that one Mario. Unfortunately we've got what we have got and we just have to go with it.

We lost 5 or 6 of our cup winning team to Championship clubs and TBH most are lost in the reserves. We had Gomis go to Birmingham , Buaben go to Watford, Robertson I think went to Peterbourgh but now back at Hibs, Goodwillie to Blackburmn and Dixon now at Huddersfield.
All good players and left for the money down south but all seem to have struggled. Unfortunately we have no money to keep these players and need transfer fees to help survive. Although most of those players left on freedom of contract.
Money or lack of it is certainly ruining the game. Its certainly fkd up here and don't be surprised if you own game suffers in the same way as clubs chase the obnoxious riches of the Premiership.

Time to get back to basics but it won't happen.

I completely agree. Money / Sky have killed the game this side of the border too. It certainly is not the game that I grew up watching in the 70's and 80's and its a lot worse for it in my humble opinion. I hate Sky, I hate the premier league, I hate greedy players and agents, in fact aside from Barnsley there is nothing else that keeps me interested in football.

Mario you totally mirror my opinion of football today.

Gone are the days of it being the working mans game. I'ts gone far too arty farty. You canna now put in a challenge without getting booked.

Bring back the days of Norman Hunter and Bomber Harris. No passion in the game these days and it is slowly dying on both sides of the border. Unfortunately we are nearer to death than you guys.

Aberdeen winning a European trophy. Makes you weep to compare how football used to be to post PL era. Football is truly ***** now.

Totally disheartening for me to think that I actually watched my team play in the UEFA Cup Final and a European Cup semi final and now we just seem to scramble results.

It would appear those halcyon days are gone forever. :(

Committed & matty done are not words I'd normally expect to see in the same sentence

Unless it's in reference to hiding from the ball and putting in half hearted tackles
