Being reported from Cardiff end on Twitter too, if it’s a free and permanent then I wouldn’t say no.

I thought the lad was a carthorse to be honest. The sending off in that home game (can't remember who against) was embarrassing. I hope if we do sign him that he shows a big improvement on what we saw last season.

Hopefully he comes back here willing to graft, few games last season he looked uninterested and stood about doing nothing. His cameo at Wembley was one of the worst appearances I’ve ever seen from a substitute.

It’s clear he knows how to score goals and play a bit, he practically brought us back in the game single handily at MK Dons when we were 4-1 down and finished the game at 4-4. Maybe the new head coach can get the best out of him, cos I don’t believe Duff could.

A 1 in 3 goalscorer, 24 years old and if we can get him on a free its a no brainer.

If it's a free I think it would be good business.

Would be interested to see him get a run of games, there was only really Cole who got that last season.

Good grief. The negativity on here is mad.

    Sign someone from non-league “rubbish”.
Sign someone from league above “rubbish”.

    who should we sign?

If we sign him I’d be happy. Player in there just needed a run of games.

I'd be happy with this, especially on a free.

Still young, plenty of experience in EFL, knows the club and has scored at this level. No brainer really.

Good addition on a free wasn't over impressed last time but wasn't given a great run of games.

Said in another thread that if he were to get a run of games for us, I think he’d score some goals.

A free transfer would be very handy too.

From a distanced supporter, that would be a decent signing. As others have said his goals to minute ratio is pretty good. He has scored in the past at this division( or was it one below) but seems to have lost his way a bit. If he was happy with us last year then a couple of year contract shouldn't be that big a deal to him, a championship team will probably not be calling him anytime soon. Also he needs to think about his future and he knows full well that 1 decent season with us will result in a decent move to him to Luton Town.

When we signed Cole on a free , I said it was a no brainer , he was well worth the risk.
If Watters signs on a free I would say again, ,great signing on a free, well worth the risk as opposed to someone requiring a fee from another team .

Its if people genuinely dont think he's very good I think mate. At this level the jury is still out for me.

I saw bursts of stuff I liked from Watters last season but he was clearly also rusty from being out of favour at Cardiff for so long. Struck me as a bit of a confidence player and if we could get that fully back into him then he could be a real asset - he's been on good scoring runs in the past. It would be better if we can get him now and get at fair chunk of pre-season into him too.

Think this is a good signing, already knows the club, players etc, should fit straight in.

If thats the case then fair and I don’t think he was amazing last season but like I say needs a run. It’s just boring to see the usual suspects being negative when if Bolton had signed him then it’s be being used as a stick to beat the club with.
