Biggest grossing fight of all time, so who's going to win it? After watching this....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y9LKHcFLow amongst other videos I do hope Mayweather gets beat badly. He is all mouth and needs to be taken down a peg or two. Watching the Sky Sports preview show he made Naseem seem gracious going into a fight.
I agree about him being all mouth and that he deserves to get beat, but whether he will or not is another matter. I'm not happy about it, but to be honest I think Mayweather could well take it if he fights at the top of his game, although if it turns into a slog I'd back De la Hoya as although he is older I reckon he's got the stamina. so, a conclusive opinion there then (battered)
Mayweather will win that fight, I'm sure of it. As good a fighter as De La Hoya is this fight has come too late on in his career.
Remember tho mayweather is going up to light middle ......and de la hoya is coming down from middle, so he should be much bigger and much stronger, and i want him to win.
Can we have an option of "don't care" I watched Pardon The Interruption last night, and they were basically saying that the sport of boxing is dying as kids prefer to go into other sports.
I can't see it making that much of a difference I may be wrong on this but I thought De La Hoya was coming down from Jr Middleweight (154lbs limit) to box at Mayweathers traditional Welterweight (147lbs). For me the difference is so insignificant that it's not going to be a factor.
Mayweather in 4 rounds... Could be very one sided after the first couple of rounds... Would be a very good bet for all you who like a flutter!!!
I was just about to put on post asking if anyone knew what time the fight would start then spotted this thread. Usually the main events over their start at 4 so presume this would be the same. Anyone know any different?
You're reyt ... Just had a look and it isn't. I'd just assumed that with it being PPV in the US Sky wouldn't miss a chance to try and fleece a bit more money out of us! - I'm surprised about that - pleasantly though!
Looking forward to this tonight now. I think De La Hoya at 2/1 is still the bet to go on. Mayweather will be feeling the nerves more with all his mouthing that he's to back up. Should be close if this poll is anything to go by.
