Question for those who went yesterday….was it us chanting “goes by the name of mcatee” or have Bolton nicked it
Bolton sang what we used to sing to him, as he's now their player. There was barely a clap from our fans when he got subbed off.
A lot wanted him in the summer and were annoyed when Bolton signed him. I personally didn’t see much in him when he was with us. He’d score a worldie here and there but missed too many simple chances. Didn’t show anything yesterday for Bolton and I don’t think we’ve missed him. Humphrys probably just edges it in a side by side comparison.
Always thought he flattered to deceive and probably his work rate rather then end product that we was admired for which was exactly what he showed yesterday to be honest. Considering we got Humphrys on a free I don’t think mcatee would have been worth the investment to be honest.
