Another Ritchie Signing Looks Set To Leave Disco probably is shocked he's still getting regular football.
whilst admitting Hecky is not the best player to ever wear the shirt lets not forget he is a Barnsley lad who had the bottle to step up to take (and convert) a penalty in the play off final at Cardiff.... Cheers Hecky and good luck...(not all people who frequent this site are morons).... (clap)
He never mentioned Howie! He's right though, Hecky showed a lot of bottle to step up and take that penalty.
Good None of the local lads moved on by Simon Davey have been signed up by another Championship club, which would suggest he was right in letting them go. If a player has the required ability, then it shouldn't matter where he was born. Just because a player comes from the Barnsley area doesn't mean necessarily he's going to be good enough. The likes of Pat Howard, Mick McCarthy & David Hirst were selected because they had the ability, not because they came from Dodworth, Worsbrough & Cudworth.
He had a lot of bottle to have some of those haircuts too! The blonde stripe what was he thinking of (2gay)
RE: Good agree totally but why do some people have to be so derogatory to the lad, cant we thank him for his services and wish him luck instead of berating him...bet these people are the ones who slag off the likes of "Sir" Parky and Darren Gough... I always thought Barnsley folk looked after their own...obviously not on this site....
Absolutely Hecky SHOULD be thanked for his services to the club (thinking of the Play Off penalty in particular) and wished the best for his future. I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with that.
