Not really seen him mentioned. But I thought he was excellent yesterday. Just looks a calm steady away player, which is exactly what we need.
After the negative reviews from Rotherham fans I was worried about this signing but he looks like another good addition.
I think our squads really taken shape!

I mentioned him in the man of the match thread. He was great. Solid in defence and had a couple of decent marauding runs forward.

Hopefully he can keep that level up.

He'll face much sterner tests than Burton this season, but it was a very good start. I also enjoyed his bits of attacking play. Shepherd was very unfortunate to get dropped, but I can certainly see the logic in dipping him in and out of the side.

Yes, me and my son picked him out yesterday. I thought he was our man of the match, but under the circumstances have no problem With Devante Goal getting it!

I thought it was incredibly harsh on Jack Shepherd to be dropped after coming in and helping us to 2 clean sheets. BUT I too thought McCart was excellent. Some very important blocks and tackles when plenty around him were being lethargic and making mistakes. Fair play to the lad.

All the back 3 looked good yesterday, they had an awful lot of the ball though to be fair o_O

Maybe they should both play, freeing Williams to play further forward at wingback?

I like Williams there. I think you need one pacey player in a 3. Plus I think we’ve a star in O’Keeffe when he stops being injured all the time!

Fair point. O'Keeffe instantly made a difference when he came on. Cotter was ok but failed to beat his man particularly early on. I couldn't quite get why we insisted on attacking down the right for most of the game while Cadden was mostly a spectator....

There was at least one occasion yesterday when Cadden was caught out of position and a better team would have exploited it. I like him, but he wasn’t at his best.

Probably lost his fitness and put a few pounds on hanging about near the touchline on halfway....

We got lucky on that occasion due to Burton scoring 2 goals all season.
Mcart as had 2 very good games.
However Grimsby and Burton are not a great yardstick to measure with.
There's a little bit of competition building up now for positions, giving the head coach an headache.
A good position to be in.
Tuesday will be a much bigger test.
