So who's staying up for it? Last time I waited up all night and it lasted about 10 seconds. Wonder if this will pan out differently??

if you'd said Cameron Diaz, I'd be up all night.

Diaz is exactly the sort of fighter that McGregor is going to have problems with. There was no way he was going to psyche out a legitimate hardcase like Diaz.

Yep. First time I ever saw him rattled at a press conference. He wins his fights outside the ring and he just couldn't get to him. He also never really took a punch. First time he got hit he wobbled. Meanwhile Diaz was covered in blood and smiling at him.

Two stones is a massive step up. Said before the fight that if Diaz was in any shape he'd be too big. Have to say I haven't seen it (only read reports), was that the case or did McGregor get complacent?

McGregor locked sharper when stood up but caught with one or two despite beating Diaz up. However as soon as it went to the floor McGregor looked outmuscled.

not so sure i agree with that. first round very cagey. he caught diaz with one and cut him, but we know he cuts easy. but we also know diaz will just fight through it. then after that i thought diaz schooled him tbh. everything he threw hit him. and conor proved last night, he REALLY doesn't like getting hit. then like you say, as soon as he had him on the ground, he jujitsu'd the $hit out of him. complete act of desperation by conor to try and take him to the ground.

i wonder if this shuts him up a bit now? same as ronda rousey
