heard earlier today, from a few bristol city fans that he wants too come back barnsley cue the abuse please as i have being hearing this for a while.
He may or may not want to come back to Barnsley But I doubt that Davey or Cryne will be welcoming him with open arms after he shafted us last time Still I said that about Nardiello - and what a sucess he was second time round
RE: He may or may not want to come back to Barnsley I wouldn't say he shafted Davey or Cryne. The clause in his contract was agreed upon. Davey wasn't even manager.
I didnt say he shafted Davey or Cryne And I know the clause was agreed - Actually Davey was caretaker manager it was immediately after Ritchie departed that he jumped ship. It still left a bad taste though - moving to a "bigger club" doesnt sit well with coming back when things not working out too well. By the way I wouldnt mind too much if he came back - he is a decent player
RE: He may or may not want to come back to Barnsley The lad said all the right things about us when he left, enjoyed his time here, thanked us for giving the opportunity, etc etc. Obviously covering his back and remember, he went to Wolves who are a bigger club, not Bristol. I'd have him back tomorrow!
still one of my favourite players... get him on left, anderson/colace, f*ck blades off and keep howard, jcr... good stuff.
After the Bristol City game earlier this season I walked past the bus station with a City fan who said he's going to Coventry in Jan, deal already agreed between the two clubs.
I had the pleasure of meeting him once whilst he was at Barnsley, a great lad who said good things about being at the club. Yes I know he jumped ship when a bigger club came in, but anyone on here who was offered more money with better prospects would do exactly the same. I'd have him back tommorow.
I agree. I know he's a mercenary, but I never recall him giving us less than 100% every game. Got on with the task in hand and we've not had a player on the left flank as good since.
RE: i was more gutted when he went than howard I'd fooking love it if he came back. A quality championship LEFT footed left winger with pace & can score, cracking free-kick taker as well! JCR ANDERSON COLACE MCINDOE ACE!!!!! Disco can cover either wing as well & JCR plays in the middle sometimes now anyway!
RE: i was more gutted when he went than howard No doubt he's just the player we need. For me we've never really replaced him. A proper left footed left sided midfielder is top priority in January in my book. I don't hold it against him that he went to Wolves. What footballer doesn't move to a bigger club when the chance comes along?
This might be complete rubbish but There is a theory that McIndoe is a recovering alcholic and the "party" culture at Barnsley under Ritchie didn't support him through this time. He didn't want to leave but couldn't stay. That could well be all BS, but if it was true I can't fault the guy for walking away and would welcome him back if they have sorted out the party culture However his Anelka emulating transfer recond (in quantity rather than quality) would suggest otherwise, and making noises like "I'd love to come back to Barnsley" looks like he could be out for more sign on bonus's for his agents. In this scenario he'd only be off again at the end of the season.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Well I for one would like to see him back at Oakwell, I know he has attitude but he’s the sort of winger we want, a magic left foot.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Just make sure thereareno stupidclauses in his contract, if we offer him one that-is (rulez) </font></p>
he'll never learn-he wants promotion-should have stayed at Wolves=my preseason prediction was Bristol to be relegated-looking good!
