Reading some comments on Hull City board, Driff_Tiger Posted on 16/7 15:17 "Interesting to also read in YP yesterday about what a negative influence McIndoe has been on Donny's squad - going round saying I don't want to be here, I'm too good for this division / club, etc. Possibly explains why PT didn't sign him after all the speculation?" Rod_Hull Posted on 16/7 17:21 "Not that it matters now but I heard the reason we didn't go for him is cos he likes a bet a bit too much". MussiesRedHat Posted on 16/7 23:06 "add to that an alleged, ex cochaine habit and a few other such misdeamenours and the guy is summed up!" Yorkshire Post wrote: DONCASTER Rovers captain Graeme Lee claims team spirit will improve following the departure of Michael McIndoe to Yorkshire rivals Barnsley. McIndoe had been rocking the boat at Belle Vue for several months, according to Lee, and stuck the boot in even further this week by casting doubts over dressing-room harmony at the club he is leaving behind. Lee, however, hit back at the 26-year-old by labelling his comments childish. "McIndoe's problem is that he didn't want to be part of this club," said Lee. "He was not a team player because all he kept on saying was how much he wanted away and that he was too good for this level. "It's disappointing because, now that he has got his move, he could have just gone away and wished us all the best and we would have done the same. Instead of that, he is turning around and saying daft things – the sort of thing you would expect from a young boy. "It's laughable but a lot of the lads are unhappy about the comments. The fans need to know that the team spirit is brilliant and now that McIndoe has gone away, the team spirit will be even better." McIndoe, who joined Rovers three summers ago from Yeovil, also revealed there is "no love lost" between himself and manager Dave Penney, admitting the relationship deteriorated because he was not in the side. Penney commented: "If he had just gone quietly, I could respect him a little bit more. His comments were very similar when he left Yeovil. "There is no point keeping a player at a club where they are unhappy. He wanted to play at a higher level and he wasn't prepared to wait for us to get there." I'm concerned about this and comments on Yeovil board... do you think the tykes are storing up trouble?
I think Pennys man management skills are a bit different to Richies who will have done his homework on McIndoe.I like the 'he wanted to play at a higher level and wasn't prepared to wait for us to get there' comment,a footballers career usually only lasts 20 yrs so you can't blame him
Ritchie wouldnt have signed a player who could disrupt the team spirit at oakwell, which is lets face seems to be the best in years
ok take on board what you've said but like i said i am concerned that it is not just doncaster who are saying it but yeovil also... apparently they warned doncaster when he signed for them... Badger Thu 13-Jul-2006 11:36:01 "Yep, I think some Donny fans suggested Yeovil fans were "jealous" or "obsessive" - we argued we were merely trying to forewarn you what to expect. The only surprise is that it took so long for Penney to decide enough was enough. Now where is the poster who claimed that Russell Slade had told his local garage that McIndoe was coming back here? " g&w_jester Thu 13-Jul-2006 11:20:42 Hardly a shock. The guy is a total p**is (apols all). " ... easily a bigger club". " ... easy decision". It won't shock me if he spouts more crap over the next few days. To be honest your team may be the worse for him leaving, but I would think squad unity will be enhanced because of his departure." http://www.ytfc.com/ytfc.mpl?id=455380
