Personally I see Healy more as a McPhail replacement

Essentially for his range of passing, which to me was McPhail's strong point.
Looking at who we lost from midfield last season, there was McPhail the playmaker, Burns the playbreaker and Shuker the tricky wide man.

On early showings I suspect in Healy, Togwell and McIndoe respectively, we may have replaced with a better man in each position.

Defence and attack both look a man short for this level to me. We'll have to hope for loan signings, or pray one or two of the young lads make rapid progress this season.

Maybe Atkinson could be the answer.
he played last night and didn't really look too out of place. The more he plays the better he will get.

    RE: JUDAS?

    1, I am over it
2, He fecked about last year and only re-sisgned when no one else wanted him
3, made it clear that if someone offered money he would go
4, he only started to show his true talent when his contract was nearing the end

basically, loyalty is a cheap word in football nowadays, and in the way he acted in the points above, will certainly be getting some stick from a few fans.

    Whos being harsh

Flinders, just what the hell has that got to do with McPhrail... end of the day it was up to him, the club recevied an acceptable offer (to them anyway) and told scott they had accepted a bid, from then on, its up to scott. he didn't have to sign for them, could have turned it down and stayed. They didn't kick him out the door. completely different scenario

He nearly cost us in the playoffs with that daft backpass to Colgan!

That's what I'll remember him by!

    RE: JUDAS?

im just saying JUDAS is a little harsh. I hope McPhail and cardiff do nothing and he regrets his decision. Im just saying he never lied to us, he played we paid him, his commitment of course looked shabby at times. He never lied to us though, never said well im staying here, decided to stay last time because we were best offer.

Got what he see's as a better one cant say he has betrayed us for that?

Danny Wilson, JUDAS yes im staying with Barnsley, then sods off. i see that as betrayed.

Besides i do not think we will miss Mcphail as Tina said his last telling contribution was to almost knock us out of playoffs.

    RE: aye...

    completely,

chopra, but don't think we will ever see him now, but that one will go down as a big miss.

Danny boy, now theirs a 50/50 split, completely agree to that too, but their are still people who would have him tomorrow, wheras other would rather give him a slap. I would have had him back at the point we were looking into a new manager, but think we are in capable hands now, and am glad we appointed AR...

How come The Times season preview had Donny selling Mcindoe for £400K?

I'd agree with you on that, all 3 look better than the ones they replaced. Let's hope the early promise comes good
