Me too mate In a big way, thought he had done really well at Wolves and when I saw he had been transferred I presumed it must have been to a premiership club or one of the 3 who have come down after suffering rello.
RE: Me too mate Very surprised he's gone to Bristol. Mind, they have a bit of money behind them. Assume McCarthy decided McIndoe wasn't the one to help get Wolves promoted - bit of a blow for his ego I bet.
On the couple of occasions I saw Wolves on the box last season McIndoe didn't look to have the freedom to play totally wide left that eh did at Barnsley. Personally I thought up to him going that he was our best player - he tracked back and helped the left back out as well which we sorely missed when he went.
I don't buy into this stuff about him being unpopular with the team etc. Never seemed to hinder him in his time with us.

I'm not Yes a talented player - but doesn't appear to be able to stay in one place very long, and seems to often leave under a cloud, trouble causer in the dressing room maybe?
RE: I'm not Depends who you talk to.
Just needs managing. Didn't seem to be any obvious probs when he was here - except when he decided he wanted out.

Looking at the reasons why he's left each club in his career though it doesn't look as bad as it first appears. Luton to Hereford - hadn't played a first team game for 6 months. Dropped down two divisions to join Hereford. to Yeovil - sold for 25k (no idea if it was his decision or the clubs) to doncaster - spent 3 years at yeovil getting them promoted to league two and was then sold to doncaster for £50k To Barnsley - big step up for him. not many players would have turned it down. to Wolves - we'd just sacked our manager, were in the bottom three and established championship side wolves with a bit of money came in for him to bristol - no idea why
Quote from Vital Football site." "Theres rumour that McIndoe had a similar agreement to what Kightly had. They were meant to get an improved deal if they impressed. McIndoe has seen Kightly get his but he hasn't got it. Hence he became unsettled" http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/boards/read/s115.htm?115,8075128,page=4 wolves fans dont seem to pleased on the whole
Wouldn't blame him for leaving then. I know people complain about footballers having no loyalty anymore but they forget that clubs have none either. Austin etc were swept aside to make way for newcomers after giving so much to the club over the years, and thats just one example, its the same up and down the country. If I was a player playing for a team that I had no real feelings for (would anyone else feel any particular loyalty to wolves or birmingham or somebody like that?) and I got offered an improved contract elsewhere then i'd jump at it if it felt right for me. I wouldn't hang around thinking about being loyal to them, after all, they sure as hell weren't thinking about me when they signed me.
yeah, apart from the loan spell at derby we were the highest club he'd played for so he can hardly be blamed for jumping at the chance of playing for an even higher team such as wolves when the opportunity came up. He'll be out of a job by 35 and after spending the last 8 years playing in the lower leagues I would imagine he'd start to get frustrated and think that is all he'd ever manage so when he suddenly see's these big chances he has to grab them.
He was the main critic of Ritchie went to see the Chairman to complain about standard of training weeks before he jumped ship.
I wouldn't be so sure Dirk...by all accounts
He was a first class **** when he was with us, and nobody could stand him.
I don't want him back, I'd have gone mental if we'd have signed him. The fact that he jumps ship so often tells a tale- moving so often can only be for one of 2 reasons, i.e. he's either sh*t (which he's not) or he's a complete w@nkerand nobody gets on with him.
Proper Mr Ego he is. He'll be out of the door at Bristol before too long, you watch. They've just been promoted, he will see himself as the bigshot. He's running out of clubs to go to.

He's a knob... Seriously my girlfriend knows him and his bird quite well and he's a right knob. Big headed, glad we got shut really.
id have him back we looked a threat going forward with him and devaney , we were psih at the back mind !!
