I must be missing something with him as I thought he was crap from day one.

What attributes does he have that I'm not seeing?

To be fair, you said the same about Luke Steele.

I like him. I think he tries to play football, he's got a good touch, decent in the air and relatively quick.

Aye, it took Luke until the 2010/11 season to come good. Can't see it ever happening with McNulty.

I'd agree he has a bit of pace but can't agree with the other two.

I like McNulty. Last year he had a very solid first season, hecne him being voted player's player of the year and being linked with moves to Millwall and Leicester.

The problem is he has been injured the vast majority of this year, is coming back to match fitness, has come back in to a team low on confidence, and has only played one game alongside Foster with who his attributes best compliment.

I think he's a steady defender, good in the air and comfortable on the ball. Think he's looked shaky since coming back into the team but needs a decent stretch in the side to get back a bit of sharpness imo.

He's a left back. I have always said so, and his best displays were in that role early last year. But then Edwards got the first of his 4,531 injuries, Maccavelli played left back and Jimmy went central.
I rate McNulty, and agree with others above me about his lack of game time etc.
Top lad off the field too. Humble.

He will come good again. Just hope that if he makes a mistake the fans don't get on his back too much. Otherwise it might get to the point where he's afraid to have the ball in case he loses it and therefore just resorts to just hoofing it downfield. The way Keith's trying to get us playing, we need players like him in the team.
