APPARENTLEY? Only made it at the club coz of his step dad. Thats wot I heard. My cousin was in the same youth team as him and Nicky Wroe. He now plays non league. He sez that Kay and Wroe were the worst players in the bunch. But they were mates and Kays step dad pulls alot of strings at the club. I know thats true anyway

Kay has been fantastic this season.</p>

Their different age groups. To be fair to Nicky Wroe he was one of the better players of the group through the youth teams, probably thee best.

Kay was quite a star of the youth team, which included Ossie, and reached the final of the England Youth set up. Funny that he won Player of the Year, and you consider him a crap player. Did you vote for Gibbs?

Be fair. Alot of people come on here critising him.

I want him to do well like I do all the players. Remember I am only relaying what I was told. I couldnt care less that he got through and others didnt. Well the free season ticket would have been nice. As long as he does his best for the reds. Im just not his biggest fan as a footy player. I like Devaney and alot of people slag him off. Just sounds a bit like sour grapes from your cousin. The reports I read about Kay and Nicky Wroe when they were youngsters suggested they were very good prospects. Both were given their full debut at the age of 17. That just doesn't happen unless you're doing really well in the youth team, no matter how much influence your dad has. Dave Bassett picked Kay at the start of the 2000/2001 season because the lad impressed him, nowt to do with outside influence.

 

Obviously Mcpahil and Howard will be the central midfield paring

Reid can always move into midfield and Kell will add competition when back to full fitness.

But I cant say he didnt deserve it on merrit coz I dont know and suppose its not fair for me to say. I remember his debut well came on as sub when Carl Regan got sent off.

Howard will score shiploads

Now that hell be playing week in week out. The number of runs he made off the ball against Colchester and he always seems to be in the right place at the right time when crosses come in. He will give us that extra class going forward unlike Burns.
